My pet goat — not that version

The free-thinking, heavily caffeinated city of Seattle now allows miniature goats to be kept as pets.

The story from the Seattle Times gives more details.

The minigoats weigh between 50 and 100 pounds. Previously, they were classified as farm animals.

I would expect to see many more nicely manicured lawns in the Emerald City.

This makes perfectly good sense to me. I have not kept a mini goat, but I have had a regular, generic Alpine goat (acquired when she was an adult) & she was a pleasure & a delight. At the time I lived on an acre of land -- with a lot of underbrush and bramble berries to keep under control -- hence the goat. Minerva came when she was called (by name), and the winter the temperature was way below freezing for several weeks, I brought her into the house "to warm up." She was a perfect guest! No messes of any sort. She delicately walked around the house, nothing toppled over or broken. Then she discovered the full-length mirror, where she admired herself for most of the afternoon from one angle or another. I loved her. Lucky people in Seattle!

Minerva, the narcissist goat.

I love it!

Who's a good goat? Why, you are.
