Whajja bring me?
I know I've shown a similar video, but I just get a kick out of Kate nosing through the groceries when I come back from the store.
I realize I'm taking a risk, because there's chicken (both roasted and raw) in the bag.
Kate's a good girl, though. She may drool a little, but she won't tear into them.
Now, pound cake is another matter.

Did you bring me anything?
I'm sure Kate would go shopping with me if she could. As soon as I come home from the grocery store, she heads straight for the shopping bags.
Notice how much time she spends at the bag containing ground turkey and a rotisserie chicken — not so much the other one that has the vegetables in it.
The only problem about this is if Kate decides to get a drink of water before the bag inspection.
That can make for some damp groceries.
By the way, reusable bags are the way to go. Even though Hannaford no longer gives you a nickle back.

Shopping gone to the dogs
And that's a good thing.
A new shopping mall Clinton Township, Mich., north of Detroit, welcomes dogs and even provides cleanup bags and water stations.
According to the freep.com Web site (that's the Detroit Free Press), the Mall at Partridge Creek, an open-air shopping center, allows dogs and their owners on the premises.
Shop 'till you drop? Only if you pick it up!
Out of 90 stores, 28 allow dogs inside, including Apple, Eddie Bauer, Lenscrafters, Samsonite and Sur La Table.
That's great. Not only could I buy Kate an iPod, a winter coat, a pair of glasses (or contacts) and some luggage, I could get her a complete set of dinnerware.
Hey, Poughkeepsie Galleria, are you listening?
