Toy poodle's a winner

Ch Smash JP Win A Victory, a 3 year old female toy poodle, was named the best in group for toys in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

The Brussels Griffon was second, the Havanese was third and the pug was fourth.

The poodle was just a bunch of balls of fluff, but pretty.

Next is the working dogs.

The show is being telecast on the USA Network.

Poodles are overrated. They are haughty, silly dogs - especially the toys. And Standard Poodles are mean, MEAN animals.

Long live the Beagle!

Where I live there are two standard poodles with different owners. One poodle wants to take Kate's head off from all the way down the block. The other poodle just wants to jump all over you.

I much prefer the latter.

I used to live in a building where one of my downstairs neighbors had two standard poodles - one black, one white. And while I appreciate the fact he didn't give them that silly poodle cut, the show dogs at Westminster had, I didn't appreciate how they would terrorize my dog and all the other dogs in the building. They were so big and strong that the owner couldn't control them. Sometimes I was really afraid for my little dog. I don't know why they don't have the reputation that Rottweilers have. They can be just as mean and violent!
